Could you highlight key milestones in your company’s history and how your experience has shaped your position in the market today?

"In 1998, Thomas Heiler and Robert Mattern established Cargo Movers GmbH in Rüsselsheim, Germany. Both founders possess extensive professional experience in international freight forwarding and previously held managerial roles in various international logistics firms before founding Cargo Movers. Through their dedicated efforts, Heiler and Mattern have cultivated a reliable customer base over the years.

Today, Cargo Movers operates as a globally engaged logistics enterprise, comprising several companies within the logistics and trading sectors. The headquarters of Cargo Movers GmbH is located in the Blauer See business park in Rüsselsheim, just minutes from Frankfurt Airport. Additionally, the company has a branch office in Bremen, while other associated company headquarters are in Frankfurt am Main and Plettenberg. Since 2023, Cargo Movers has expanded its presence to the Netherlands, with Cargo Movers Netherlands BV headquartered in Rotterdam."

Which services do you offer, and what distinguishes your company from other freight forwarders in your country?

"The company provides tailored transport solutions on a global scale, specializing in air freight, sea freight, and road transport. Cargo Movers focuses on the import and export of high-value, sensitive, and time-critical goods, including food products, pharmaceuticals, and spare parts for aircraft and maritime vessels. Esteemed clients such as Fresenius Medical Care, Fresenius Kabi, Coty, and Condor rely on the over 25 years of expertise and personalized service offered by this Hessian enterprise."

What opportunities for improvement do you see in the freight forwarding industry, and how do you think companies can address them?

"The freight forwarding industry is changing quickly, presenting various significant opportunities for companies to enhance their competitiveness and efficiency:

• Digital Transformation & Automation: By investing in digital solutions, AI-based logistics, and automated tracking systems, companies can boost real-time visibility and operational effectiveness.
• Sustainability & Eco-Friendly Logistics: Implement environmentally friendly shipping methods, optimize routes to lower fuel usage, and invest in electric or alternative fuel vehicles.
• Simplifying Customs & Compliance: Leverage AI-powered compliance tools, collaborate with digital customs brokers, and automate paperwork to expedite the clearance process.

By focusing on these areas, freight forwarding companies can enhance efficiency, reduce costs, and provide better service to customers."

From your perspective, what is the value of being part of a logistics network, and how has your experience with our network contributed to your success?

"Logistics networks frequently organize conferences, events, and B2B meetings that allow members to establish partnerships and acquire new clients. These networks provide access to reliable partners globally, allowing companies to broaden their service reach without the need to establish their own offices in various locations. 

In my view, members gain advantages from shared resources, combined shipments, and increased bargaining power with carriers, resulting in reduced costs.

As we are relatively new to this network, I would like to know how collaboration with other members has enhanced shipment efficiency and customer service, as well as how the network has offered learning opportunities that have improved our business strategies."
